Subtle Clothing is an emerging ethically aware British fashion label that possesses a subtle outlook on life. Each design we create will be stylish, fashionable and underpinned throughout by our understated viewpoint, and the world’s penchant for acting like a peacock.

The origin of the use of the Peacock as part of Subtle Clothing’s branding, is our quirky take on how a male (peacock) will display its feathers when trying to get a female’s (peahen) attention. Thus as both sexes, in the pursuit of attracting the attention of someone else, will go out of their way to look attractive by the clothes they choose to wear. Therefore, when wearing a t-shirt with a subtly designed print, the wearer can strut around showing their plumage, and become part of the muster of peacocks.
